Nicole and Matt came all the way out from Cambria County to take engagement photos at the beautiful Ricketts Glen State Park. If you haven’t been, plan a trip! The waterfalls are incredible, you can camp or rent a cabin, and in the summer there’s a free sandy swimming beach and boat rental.

These two were fun to hang out with, I enjoyed hearing their story, how they attended school together but were dang near total opposites when it came to the school setting who came together after some time had passed. They were so sweet together and plan to have a tiny wedding in the State Park. Since they had a big drive on wither side of our session, we made do with the harsher midday sun (this was late April).

Did you know you can get married at Ricketts Glen for no cost? You’re required to notify / get approval from the park office ahead of time, and are supposed to stay out of the waterfalls, but I think that is pretty cool — and look forward to their day.

Hiking out from their session I had a real feeling of fulfillment and happiness, the park is SUCH a lovely place to spend some time.
