Honesdale Fall Wedding | NEPA Photographer

These lovely people came all the way from Hawaii to be married in October, under a huge tree on a farm near Waymart, Pennsylvania, and I was lucky enough to tag along. This wedding was second shot with the wonderful Michelle Lee Photography out of Honesdale. The detail of this wedding were incredible – the jewel tones, the flapper dresses, the 20’s era theme, the unique florals – just wow. The weather, however, was not very cooperative: there was mud, there was wind, there was rain, there was cold. And yet, there was so much love.

I met the groom and his family at the Lodge at Keene Lake where I had the pleasure of capturing some behind the scenes moments before the first look, while chatting with some really nice people. Now that I met them I cannot stop thinking about Hawaii! The groom is a woodworker and the couple has some big dogs and I really had a fine time getting to know them.

The first dance was to the Louis Armstrong version of You go to my head, which is an absolute knockout of a song. Lyric sample: You go to my head and you linger like a haunting refrain and I find you spinning round in my brain like the bubbles in a glass of champagne. Jen + Ryan, may you have a beautiful life together in paradise!
